Financial crititical infrastructure protection

Quanopt experts played a key role in the systematic monitoring design in an EU project (getting Excellent remark) where a distributed event processing environment was created to support the information federation between financial infrastructures (e.g., banks).

The COMIFIN (Communication Middleware for Monitoring Financial Critical Infrastructure) EU FP7 project created a federated, distributed and collaborative network of agents for enhancing trustworthiness and dependability of financial infrastructures. The global financial infrastructure is a complex system consisting of a wide taxonomy of interconnected nodes and infrastructures (e.g. banks, insurance companies, clearing houses, etc.). The missing of a comprehensive for these interconnected infrastructures global monitoring schema was constituted the key objective of CoMiFin.
